When you need a general purpose thread sealant with high temperature- and contamination-tolerance, as well as effectiveness on inactive and active metals, choose LOCTITE® 577. Designed for the locking and sealing of threaded metal pipes and fittings, this product provides an instant, low-pressure seal and won’t creep, shrink or shred. Perfect for use on stainless steel without the need for surface activation, it offers gap performance to 0.25 mm (0.01″) and will cure even in the presence of minor surface contamination from cutting, lubrication, anti-corrosion and protection fluids, or cleaners containing surfactants and corrosion inhibitors.
